I have been working on some editorial, fashion styled shoots for kids and am loving the end results! Seeing what was once just an idea in my head, now documented and captured has been an incredibly creative and satisfying process.

I shot the first of the series a few weeks ago and it was a ballet inspired session. Like most little girls, I went to ballet class  – my older sister, six years ahead of me was already on pointe shoes  when I started and remember how badly I wanted to dance with shoes like those too. The soft ribbons, the silky fabric and the beautiful peachy pink colours…  I wasn’t cut out to be a ballerina and never did dance with pointe shoes but these childhood memories were my inspiration – the textures, the colours and wistful beauty that ballet evokes.

I am working on a new photo session package and will soon be offering editorial, magazine style photo shoots for little fashionistas and creative kids. The package will include wardrobe styling, hair and make-up as well as a fine art display for your home, featuring an artistically edited photograph from the session.
