I have always had a fascination with creative images that are able to convey sentiment and feelings and have been passionate about photography for as long as I can remember. I see emotion, anticipation and beauty in every moment and believe that photography is all about celebrating life and capturing the heartfelt, sincere moments that reveal people’s true personalities.

A picture is worth a thousand words and photographic images are the best way to freeze a unique moment for eternity. Faces and expressions not only give a general character to an image but they also unconsciously send out messages which tell a story. It is my goal as a photographer to create stunning photos that can be treasured for generations, but which also communicate these fleeting emotions. As photographer Dorothea Lange put it so eloquently, “Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still”.

My style when photographing is relaxed and stress free and it is very important to me that you are comfortable and enjoy the experience. I will direct you by placing you in the most flattering light and positions and then prompt you for a few frames, but also encourage interaction in order to capture natural expressions. It’s really the in-between moments that I am after, those where you let your guard down and the qualities special and unique to you are revealed.

For me the process of creating striking images begins long before I take a photograph with conceptualising a theme, choosing a colour palette, scouting for locations, sourcing props, styling and way beyond to post production and editing.
